Baleine Bay - an overview

I am proud to present my first 3D project "Baleine Bay" (made on Unreal Engine 5). This project was created as my final for Seneca Polytechnic's Game Art and Animation program. We were two to work on this project over the course of 3 months/14 weeks (credits to Michelle Ly for being my incredibly talented teammate). The game is fairly simple; it is a prop hunt on the island of Baleine Bay, on which you look for whale stickers. It is meant to encourage the player to take their time and explore. There is no pressure to find all of the stickers, what matters is that you enjoy your time on our island.
We were inspired by the style of Overwatch and Palia. Baleine Bay is a cozy Mediterranean island with a whale obsession, known for its picturesque landscapes and -of course- whale watching!

All assets seen in this scene were modeled in Autodesk Maya and textured using either Substance 3D painter or Substance 3D designer before they were imported into Unreal Engine 5. Some were also made using Houdini.
